This year at the Oscars everyone embraced their natural textures. In a typical salon environment we see all different types of textures from curly, wavy, to pin straight. The Oscars really had a different vibe of empowerment this year. Standouts included Megan the Stallion rocking curls on top of curls giving Diana Ross a run for her money. Halle Bailey beautifully showcased her natural hairlocs in two different show stopping hair updos. Michelle Yeoh our Oscars 2023 Best Actress winner embraced her beautiful long and thick textured straight hair with a bit of a glam twist opting for a beautiful subtle blowdry styling.
Hollywood also opted for a simple glam theme this year. Jennifer Garner expressed this by sleeking back her platinum blonde short bob hairstyle. It really had a great balance between modern glam and classic Hollywood look. The feeling of confidence and empowerment in showcasing her natural hair length radiated from her. We couldn’t have predicted a better red carpet this year from Hollywood’s elite. Each of them embraced their individualities when interpreting their hairstyles for Hollywood’s biggest night.
