Daniel was born in Dominican Republic and raised in the urban neighborhood of Washington Heights, Manhattan. His love of beauty and altruism led him to begin his journey through the world of artistic design and collaborative service at the Aveda Institute in SoHo, NYC.
After graduation, he apprenticed at the world-renowned Vidal Sassoon; which instilled in him the importance of strong technical know-how along with an eye for balance. He states: “The golden ratio of foundation is forming couture shapes for my clients. As I see it, creativity doesn’t have to be a whimsical intuition expressed on someone’s hair. Most artists possess intuition. What I bring to the table is technical creativity. I love my craft, it isn’t a job to me, it’s my passion”.
Danny then assimilated styling techniques from the industry icon Ted Gibson and gained experience in runway presentations for Carmen Marc Valvo, Diane Von Ferstenberg, Rachel Roy, and DKNY. He was also exposed to celebrity clientele, fashion photography, and TV styling for Rachel Ray.
At The Drawing Room New York his repertoire is being expanded by Toni & Guy. Here he uses every facet of his experience on a larger scale and our guests can now reap the benefits of his journey through the beauty and fashion industry.
